EIU UPI is a union organized to represent Unit A faculty (tenured / tenure track), Unit B Annually Contracted Faculty (ACF) after completion of 2 semesters of employment at EIU, and Unit B Academic Support Professionals (ASP).

 

We are currently in contract negotiations with our Administration. This began March of 2022 and we are still bargaining a new contract. While the previous contract expired on August 31, 2022, we are still using the terms agreed upon as our guide for current working conditions while negotiations are continuing.

 

When you see the signs saying “Working Without a Contract”, it is true as we do not have a newly bargained and signed contract between EIU UPI and the Administration.
