Andy became active in the union during the Recent Unpleasantness, serving as a strike captain. This is his first elected office

Coordinator, History with Teacher Licensure
Bonnie has been a member of UPI since she began at EIU. She began as Unit A rep in August 2024 and this is her first official role in the union.

Andrew first got involved with the UPI strike in 2023 and has been active ever since. He took over as Grievance Officer in January 2024.​

Thomas MacMullen
Instructor, School of Technology
Thomas is best known for leading energetic chants during the strike of 2023 and has been active in the union ever since. He believes wholeheartedly in the principles of fair treatment, collective bargaining and worker solidarity

Juanita Cross
Senior Academic Advisor, Academic Advising
Juanita has been an UPI member since she began at EIU, first as an admissions counselor, and currently as an Academic Advisor since 2011. She became involved in UPI first as a UPI area representative and joined the Grievance Committee in Spring 2024

Jon Coleman
Senior Instructor, College Student Affairs
Jon first got involved with UPI as a member of the team that negotiated the amendment to the CBA in 2019 for the AOD document. Following that, he served on the 2022 contract negotiation team as a Unit B representative. And joined the grievance committee in Spring 2024.
